ROSEVILLE, CA, AUGUST 1, 2016: GALLINA LLP announces the retirement of long-time partner and executive leader, Steve Burnett, CPA effective July 31, 2016. Burnett is retiring after nearly 40 years in traditional public accounting.

Managing Partner, Larry Taylor, shares “we join in congratulating Steve during this transition. Although he’s exiting traditional public accounting, he’s helped shape GALLINA’s history during his career and leaves his clients with our dedicated team to continue providing full-service accounting.”

Burnett merged his practice with GALLINA in October 2010 noting “great timing and mutual respect brought us back together as we realized the immense potential for our clients by merging two highly-successful firms.” Burnett was a former partner at GALLINA LLP and established his own practice in 1983 before returning in October 2010. He stated “a casual conversation took an optimistic turn as we realized how well we would truly complement our clients.”

Burnett started his career in 1977 after graduating from California State University, Sacramento. He has worked extensively with contractors, developers, construction, and manufacturers for nearly 40 years. Well known in the real estate and construction industries, Burnett is an active member of countless associations, including but not limited to, Association of Commercial Real Estate (ACRE), Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange (SRBX), and Lambda Alpha International (LAI).
