ROSEVILLE, CA, FEBRUARY 10, 2016: GALLINA LLP’s Chief Marketing Officer, Mark Szewczyk has accepted an appointed seat on the Commerce Department District Export Council of the United States Department of Commerce. The appointment was delivered by the Director of the U.S. Commercial Service in Southern California, Fred Latuperissa, with the three year term starting at the onset of the 2016 calendar year.
Mark Szewczyk shared “after spending some time getting to know the District Export Council’s leaders, it was evident their goal, as ours is at GALLINA, was to educate businesses on the advantages of international trade and exports.” He continues “I accepted the position because it’s a rare opportunity to work with nationally recognized local talent to assist in promoting trade on both a small and big scale.”
The council works to advocate international business by promoting exporting to area manufacturers through education and empowerment of federal programs. In association with the District Export Council (DEC), the California Inland Empire DEC also promotes international trade in association with local and state government organizations for improved foreign country relations and local commerce.
Mark Szewczyk is based in GALLINA LLP’s Southern California offices of Newport Beach and Ontario, California. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor of science in international business and finance where he serves as a Marketing Advisory Board member. With over 25 years of experience, Mark has a deep understanding of sales and marketing.
